Video file went from 33mib to 264mib after export

I know nothing about video, so this is confusing to me.

The only edit I made was to chop off 2 mins in OpenShot. It was a fullscreen screencast I made with Kazam. Unedited videos I've recorded using Kazam are framerate 15 H264(MP4) 's.

They are almost always smaller than 100mib and I can upload them anywhere but whenever I edit them and export them they explode into these heavy sized files. What's happening? :0 ???

Obviously it's reencoded.
You need an editor that you can do basis edits like cropping or changing the audio without rencoding.

Probably using a much higher data rate than your original recording, to preserve quality. Under export window -> advanced -> video settings is a bitrate input, id try lowering that. Dunno how well the built in h264 exporter works though.
