That's unfortunate. Is there any way you can get them to cool off about it by gently and slowly introducing a cute tiny spider like a jumper and showing them how smart and docile they are?
I've tried. The closest I've came to any small success was getting my mother to consider the Bagheera kiplingi species 'cute'.
Honestly, jumpies are my absolute favourite too; I don't understand how someone can think anything other than AWWW when they see them.

yess ! I love to watch them on my walls and ceiling. x3 I often just let them stay in my room.

She's scared, so I pick them up and let them outside if they're in the bathroom.

I even have to save the odd slug that comes in during rainy season.
