Underrated Animes

Share here up to two animes you consider way underrated!

Here's one of the animes that I absolutely loved and I feel like not many have heard about it: Rainbow: Nisha Rokubou no Shichinin

"Japan, 1955: Mario Minakami has just arrived at Shounan Special Reform School along with five other teenagers who have been arrested on serious criminal charges. All assigned to the same cell, they meet older inmate Rokurouta Sakuragi—a former boxer—with whom they establish a close bond. Under his guidance, and with the promise that they will meet again on the outside after serving their sentences, the delinquents begin to view their hopeless situation in a better light.

Rainbow: Nisha Rokubou no Shichinin follows the seven cellmates as they struggle together against the brutal suffering and humiliation inflicted upon them by Ishihara, a sadistic guard with a grudge on Rokurouta, and Gisuke Sasaki, a doctor who takes pleasure in violating boys. Facing such hellish conditions, the seven inmates must scrape together all the strength they have to survive until their sentences are up; but even if they do, just what kind of lives are waiting for them on the other side?"

Infinite Ryvius, because space battles actually take a long time to unfold and commence.  The OST is really cool too.

Space Pirate Mito  What the title says. A fun anime about a space pirate mom and her innocent teenage son. It has some serious and touching moments but mostly is ridiculouslu funny.

Vitreous Flower & Destroy the World  Maybe not the greatest anime ever but it explores some interesting AI related themes and I didn't find a single fan art of in on dA.

Houseki no Kuni is a pretty underrated CGI anime, at first I didn't want to watch it because of the CGI art style but then I watched it and it ended up being really good. I've seen some YouTubers talking about it but I still think it's underrated.

Well two Anime I could say, is Dream Eater Merry/Yumekui Merry and K Project bother of those Anime are great. While I will admit Yumekui Merry didn't completely follow the manga, it was still a great Anime to it's self and K Project, I personally think it's amazing but that's just my opinion. It has great graphics and a touching story.

Blood-C:
A guilty pleasure of mine. Typical sailor moon formula with a bloody and edgy theme.
Schoolgirl by day, monster slayer by night.
The story picks up halfway through and the ending is just epic.
it left me wanting more and seeing a conclusion to the story.

Sadly the movie for Blood-C was just awful, they screwed up the finale we were all waiting for.

Medaka Box Abnormal:
Medaka box is one of those really insane meta shows, where I feel like the writers were given complete freedom to just make the most interesting story they could come up with, and the animators would make it beautiful at the same time.
It covered a lot of concepts in a short time.
to bad they never really got anywhere with the show.

serial experiments lain is pretty fun to watch and i find it to be often forgotten.

mind game. it's a movie, the concept isn't anything new, but it's not talked to death like other more popular ones like, let's say, tenshi no tamago (which is excellent but everyone and their grandmas talk about it).

i don't watch a lot of anime, mostly read the manga and don't bother with the animated adaptations.

I've seen serial experiments lain. and I don't wanna hurt your feelings but I thought it was rightfully underrated.
it has a cult following which is understandable considering it's content.

but it seems to be about where it should in terms of audience.
I really disliked it, but I would watch it if they ever made a movie or a reboot.

that's fair enough. if everyone liked the same thing, it would lose its appeal.

Ahh serial experiments lain!!! I've watched it long time ago and was quite interesting!

I haven't heard about mind game or teshi though

Yeah, but you can also suggest manga (I only suggested animes because I prefer reading mangas "physically" and not so much through internet or digitally, so I'm more into watching animes)

good luck finding manga physically on portugal, apart from the usual shonen stuff xD
i found monster to be one of the most interesting mangas i've read. the anime is quite boring and gives away too much, though. i also liked the concept of barbara.
