If Adventure Mode doesn't return for Smash 5, I'm gonna be one unhappy bunny. The single-player modes in Smash 4 really disappointed me.
Also, I don't believe that this new Smash is a port, because the Smash Bros. website was wiped clean just for this teaser. Why would you go to the trouble of wiping your website clean if you're just porting the latest game to another system? (I wouldn't be surprised if Smash 5 was built on Smash 4's engine and assets, however).
Also, it looks like HAL Lab is developing the game again, not Namco.
We need Smash 5 to have Meele physics, but very improved and well-balanced, a good story mode, and some good characters worth investing into use instead of repetitive clones and bad DLC characters. For clone characters, they should have an individual move-set and fighting style.
Sigh. *Looks at wallet.* I'm now hoping that Pokemon Switch isn't coming out this year.
Also, I'm assuming that this isn't a port since the Wii U version had 8-player smash, a mode I have a feeling they won't be supporting for Switch. Hopefully the controls actually feel better this time around.
Oh no, Smash 4 felt worse on the Wii U. Brawl felt fine to me (I was even fine with the slipping, which weirdly never became an issue for me.) I recall Smash 4 doing odd stuff with the shoulder buttons that made it not play like any other Smash game and I couldn't get use to it.
Tbh if Smash 5 is just Smash 4 with a story mode, more content, and some tweaks here and there I'll be one happy as fuck camper. And it's out this year, with BOTW Link! Ohhhh baby! Make a cappy possessed T-Rex an assist trophy or something and I'll buy 50 copies.
