Anne Shirley and Annie Warbucks

I'm working a theory. What if Annie Warbucks ("Little Orphan Annie") is the long-lost grand-daughter of Anne Shirley ("Anne of Green Gables"). Anne Shirley had five or six children. One of them, Di Blythe, had ginger hair like her mother and Annie Warbucks. In one of the sequel books, Di had took part in WWI as a member of the Red Cross. Di could've met up with a soldier whom marries, moves to America and having a kid. Yet, for some odd reason, Di's baby could've been placed in an orphanage. That baby could might as well be our little orphan Annie. I know this whole speculation is far-fetched as "Little Orphan Annie" was a comic book filled with people with no pupils and a magic Hindu body-guard. While "Anne of Green Gables" is set in a more realistic world. Still, look at the similarities.
