I suppose giants is representative of those tall and clumsy people we meet in our life. They can be very tall and have enormous strength, but their agility and dexterity is really worrying that they would break stuff or hurt themselves.
I used to have a colleague that is not really much taller, but his lack of dexterity caused him to hit himself with a hammer repeatedly while chiseling rivets off with screwdrivers.
I find it strange how is it possible for someone to hit their own hand with hammer With the screwdriver being such a big target.
They’re incredibly difficult to feed with very little payoff. Do you realize how many cows would be required to produce a cold glass of milk for a giant after he or she has eaten their morning toast? And without milk, gravity is going to crumble those big giant bones.
I don’t have them in my paracosm though i do have something close- a race of humanoids the height of basketball players with the build of a wrestler/football player. 15 feet is ridiculous just think of their metabolic needs
the idea is ogres & trolls can eat anything which would keep their numbers up. This doesnt make as much sense for giants. Prehistoric time & ancient hominids played a heavy role in my imagination. I like to imagine dragons having traits of fossil found in the real world areas they were based off of
Yes but if they’re too big theyll starve, especially if they’re carnivorous rather than omnivorous. humans had it rough back then, giant versions of us would have it even rougher. I do suppose they could exist in decent sized numbers with decent genetic diversity only if they were capable of eating things we can’t eat like trees & grasses
in modern society we have the remains of them, it's suppose to be some sort of genetic birth defect I think, can't remember... but these folks are 8 to 10 feet tall or taller. so, if we have them that tall now, in theory, we could have had them back in older/ancient times. I mean they have found evidence of them, bones, structures...
