People requesting to comment on their comment on their front page.
I've seen this in a lot of user's pages. Some people usually ask their visitors to reply their comment so that their page looks neat.
What do you think of this?

I am aggressively on the matter.
I think it's because of an activity thing as well
some people don't want to have comments from 2 years ago still showing up on their pages (like welcome messages) if they're the kind of person who just doesn't get a lot of messages.
Personally I love the attention on the front page, because it shows that I like to engage with my audience (or at least I think it does) but I can definitely understand being sick of "thanks for the llama" after about the 4000th "np" you've sent.

I don't really understand it but if that's what they want, why not.
I understand it. If you large audience and or comment/watch/fav a lot of other people's work, it's best to have that system in place. I don't do it because I don't mind the clutter.
It helps me sleep at night on those cold days.
