Your Favorite YouTubers

LizzyChrome's avatar
YouTubers are often annoying. Others were once great but have overstayed their welcome. And some have had their amateur channels in Development Hell for years (cough). But this is the Praise forum, so let's talk about the ones we still like.

At the moment, I follow several true crime channels. Cayleigh Elise was my favorite; I'm sad she left, and sadder still that her channel abruptly disappeared. Substitutes I've turned to, however, include Stephanie Harlow and Danelle Hallen. I love the depth of research these women go into, and how respectful they always try to be to the victims, and the fact that these are real tragedies.

For the writing career I keep procrastinating on, I follow a few gurus. A few of my personal favorites are Alexxa Donne (who has published a few books traditionally, and seems to know her stuff), Shaelin Bishop (who, despite being less experienced, is amazing at getting you to see certain aspects of writing from new and important perspectives), and of course, Terrible Writing Advice.

Of course I used to be a big fan of the Nostalgia Critic, and occasionally re-watch some of his old reviews for fun. Phelous, Cinema Snob and Allison Pregler, I also still enjoy (and I'm sad they're feuding).

Finally, Puma Messi. He's a rescue puma, with a health condition that makes him unable to survive on his own in the wild. His owners do NOT seem like the Tiger King; they seem to take care of their one puma, who seems like a happy fur baby.

You guys?

Top 5s is my all time favourite. He makes videos about creepy videos about paranormal activity, ufo's, unexplained crimes etc and he's very neutral and unbiased about it. Plus his voice is so soothing. I watch his videos at night just to scare myself.

So, I've just started Devianart and I was wondering if any of you could check out my gallery. I mostly draw in an anime art style and draw characters and real people alike. Here is the link to my page: www.deviantart.com/uwumoeo-ouw… I will really appreciate if you added some of my art to favorites or started watching me too.

I'm picking through my subscriptions so bear with me that these are in alphabetical order.

Achievement Hunter (Though I dislike RT as a company, I still like the AH content at least.)

Black Shepherd Games (Started as a podcast and turned to doing Let's Plays and videos of development for their indie games.)

Criken2 (He's actually a Twitch streamer but the clips uploaded to his channel are pretty good. Well worth watching his streams too. He's a chill dude.)

Dr-Dash (Did the Five Nights In The Weekend series. A SFM parody of the FNAF games. Some of his humor isn't for everyone but I like him.)

FalKKonE (Does symphonic metal covers of video game and movie sountracks. Also does original songs as well. Definitely worth a listen to.)

GrayStillPlays (Worth subscribing to just for his Sims 4 series alone. But his other videos are just as entertaining.)

KillustratorsGames (A D&D podcast. Very funny with engaging characters and plot arcs. Better than Critical Role IMO.)

LetsGameItOut (Similar chaotic playstyle to GrayStillPlays. His goal in every video is to find ways to break the game to his advantage. With hilarious results.)

NinjaPanda (Does fake censored versions of Disney movies to make them seem more "mature" than they originally were.)

oddheader (Finds secrets and easter eggs hidden in games that went previously undiscovered. A lot of them are pretty terrifying but interesting.)

pannenkoek2012 (Is known for the 1.5 A Press video in Mario 64. A lot of his exploits of the game are pretty interesting.)

Shirley Curry (Because who doesn't love the Skyrim grandma?)

Here are a few of mine (not counting all the overtly political content I consume)...

* HomeTeam History (www.youtube.com/channel/UC12lU…), who deals in pre-colonial African history.

Since I have so many favorite you tubers so it’s hard to pick out all of them, so I’ll just name one. Saltydkdan is a youtuber who is best know for his stream compilations on various games and his, Have you Heard of.. series where he and his friends read through reddit post, tweets, weird fanficton and more. I personally find his humor funny especially in his game compilations where he starts off with an intro with an animatic skit.

GamingWithJen/PopularMMO's

GamingWithJen is Jen's YouTube channel and PopularMMO's is Pat's YouTube channel, they play Minecraft and Roblox together. Even tho I have never played Minecraft or Roblox before I find there videos really enjoyable, Jen always makes me laugh in the videos. I find them both great YouTubers, there the YouTubers that make me laugh the most.

Thea Gaming

She used to play Minecraft from what I know but she mostly plays Roblox now, she has a great personality in my opinion and I find her pretty funny and her videos enjoyable to watch.

Anime America

The owner of the account being a 30 year old woman who is a big anime fan, she used to have friends that talked about anime with her and made anime reviews but they were too busy to be on the channel anymore so it's just her sadly but I still find the anime videos she puts out enjoyable.

Scribbler Productions

She's a MLP YouTuber who her and her friends do MLP fanfic reading, they all do a really good job voicing the characters when they read a fanfic, they also do the voices for the MLP comics.

I have other YouTubers I really like but couldn't put them all down lol

I mainly watch reaction channels, but I do subscribe to others.

Akima Reactions- Family of 2 sisters and a mom who watch movies/shows

Good Mythical Morning- Just recently got into them, and they are keeping my day sunny bright

Alonzo Lerone- Love that dude!

Gone to the Snow Dogs- I love huskies, and they are just too cute not to watch!

Ke'yush the Stunt Dog- Again, husky videos amuse me and make me feel good!

Life with Malamutes- I had 2 Malamutes, and one of their dogs looks exactly like my first Malamute. So, it reminds me of him when I see the male dog.

Among various ASMR channels, and other Italian youtubers, I gotta say that my favourite youtuber is currently Paymoneywubby (www.youtube.com/user/PaymoneyW…)
I never miss a video of his, I adore him. He is really really funny and his commentary videos are always so interesting, the ideas he shares are very interesting and he's very smart. His videos are very smart and also very funny. I also like a lot the way he speaks and the way he articulates his sentences. I'm not a native English speaker and I like to hear him talking a lot.

Lately, I've been following a small-time YouTuber known as Jon PonJorno who does blind lets-plays. When I say "small-time", I mean really small: he only has 88 subscribers as of this comment. Lately, I've been one of several people guiding him through the Halo series. He's gotten through Reach and just uploaded the Combat Evolved level "Two Betrayals".
www.youtube.com/channel/UCZ7Ml…

Some others I like:
Cody's Lab: an amateur science channel. His most famous project is turning urine into gunpowder (sadly no longer on YouTube because it technically shows how to make explosives). In addition to chemistry, he's also known for gardening, beekeeping, geology, and metallurgy. His current project is building a makeshift prototype self-sustaining Mars base.
www.youtube.com/channel/UCu6mS…

The 8-Bit Guy: He makes documentaries on antique computers and other digital technology. He also demonstrates repairs and restoration of such old tech. As a side note, this channel's intro is by far my favorite intro of any show, YouTube or otherwise.
www.youtube.com/channel/UC8uT9…

Cinemassacre: I don't think The Angry Video Game Nerd needs much of an introduction.
www.youtube.com/channel/UC0M0r…

Primitive Technology: As the name suggests, the guy builds various technology and structures using prehistoric techniques. He never speaks, just letting his actions speak for themselves. While you can turn on captions to get an explanation, I find it much more interesting to figure it out for myself, then double-check the description to see how much I got right.
www.youtube.com/channel/UCAL3J…

Backyard Scientist: Another amateur science channel, this one even more well-known than Cody's Lab. He's known for his giant-mousetrap-powered car, molten metal squirt gun, molten aluminum experiments, and setting his mother's swimming pool on fire.
www.youtube.com/channel/UC06E4…

Periodic Videos: A series about chemistry from the University of Nottingham. As the name implies, the original idea was to have at least one video for every single element on the Periodic Table, a goal they have achieved several times over.
www.youtube.com/channel/UCtESv…

Peter Brown
: A woodworking and resin-casting craft channel. His most iconic project is making a double-edged woodcutting ax with a handle made of resin and gummy bears. One of his more recent projects involved taking Adam Savage's book "Any Tool is a Hammer" and turning it into a hammer. Said hammer now sits in Adam Savage's tool rack. Neither is anywhere near the strangest things he's done with resin and/or wood.
www.youtube.com/channel/UC3Crz…

Adam Savage's Tested: Speaking of Adam Savage, this is his channel. It's mostly nerd stuff. He showcases building props, costumes, and specialty Lego sets.
www.youtube.com/user/testedcom

alyankovic: "Weird Al" Yankovic's personal YouTube channel. It's more than just a collection of his songs, though; he also occasionally posts small, silly, pointless videos a few seconds long.
www.youtube.com/channel/UCDBrV…

Joshscorcher/FOBEquestria: A video game and MLP enthusiast, as well as a former U.S. Marine. The former channel is his gaming channel, including Let's Plays, D&D livestream sessions, and Top 10s. Some may not like Top 10s, but thankfully, there's more than just that. The second channel features My Little Pony analysis videos, so if you're a brony, it's something you should probably check out if you haven't already.
www.youtube.com/channel/UC5sWQ…
www.youtube.com/channel/UC9_MW…

Lastly, there's Grian and MumboJumbo, two well-known British Minecraft YouTubers. Grian is known for his skills in architectural design and mischievous shenanigans. Mumbo is known for his redstone skills and being a "spoon". He also has a second channel where he posts a lot of documentaries, some of which were even commissioned by big companies and organizations. Both are members of the Hermitcraft Minecraft server.

"Hi, I'm old Norse specialist Dr. Jackson Crawford."
A cowboy who visits beautiful places in Colorado and Wyoming and talks into the camera about Old Norse poetry, language and culture. Yes, it's as awesome as it sounds.

Techmoan for funny reviews of ancient and weird technologies.

Brad Colbrow and Lisa from MobileTechReviews to keep me up to date on new products for digital artists.

PBS Aeons for prehistoric subjects.

An ever shifting array of art teaching channels, right now most notably Ethan Becker. He's hilarious.

An ever shifting array of math channels, with Numberphile as a constant. His other channels on astronomy and physics are awesome too.

A bunch of history channels, most notably Kings And Generals.

Adam Neely and Rick Beato for music teaching. The fun part is I don't even play an instrument and don't plan too, I'm just interested in music theory.

Bedtime Stories to creep me out.

Whang, Internet Historian and Fredrick Knudsen for funny internet stuff.

Every Frame A Painting is a gold mine of filmmaking knowledge. It's a pity they stopped making content, as it was excellent.

Other than that, Bingeing with Babish will always be a favorite of mine, and Ryan George is hilarious. Zefrank1 also has some hilarious mockmentary content.

Oh, and Ethan Becker. He's strange but his advice is solid.
And Kurzgesagt is absolutely charming and informative.
YouSuckatCooking is also an awesome cooking/comedy channel.
