Praise liquid nitrogen

:dummy: It's so cool when you can hang out in a liquid nitrogen storage room that needs to be conditioned to nice 20°C, concerning the annbearable heat outside :aww:

And yeah, pun intended grin wink

It's one of the most fun elemental materials to play around with. Other examples include mercury, gold, and gallium. Unfortunately, like liquid nitrogen and its coldness posing a risk to the human body, these other elements have drawbacks as well. Mercury, of course, is very toxic and very heavy. Gold is extremely expensive. Gallium tends to stick to things just like water does.

Sure. There is a lot of fun stuff in the chemistry :)

That reminds me... I saw a children's chemistry set for sale at a thrift store once. The advertisement on the box boldly stated: "Contains no chemicals!"

Makes me think of that time Bill Nye ate marshmallows that had been soaked in liquid nitrogen, and they made steam shoot out of his nose.  I haven't watched his show in so many years, but I still remember that scene and it still makes me laugh thinking about it. :D

And liquid argon... but that stuff is more expensive.
