here is how i see it. guns are good. when properly used and taken care of, they are just fine. but you dont need a 30, 50, or even 100 round magazine. If you get one, that either means that your gonna do some killing, or your target shooting(and if thats the case, your a terrible shot or you hate reloading). keep guns.
Hand guns and hunting rifles I can understand why someone would like those types of guns, (my family come from a line of gamekeepers) but I don't understand why do you need a working high power miltary grade gun in your house, *shrugs*.
Guns are a hot topic because people keep doing dumb shit and shooting up schools and theaters with them. In terms of the hot-topic issue of what to DO about guns... I don't have the slightest idea. I'm a liberal and even I know it's pointless to outright ban them all. It just won't happen, nor do I think it should. I think that some TYPES of guns should be made harder to get, but truthfully I don't know enough about the subject to offer any viable solution so I just try and stay out of it and wait for all this back-and-forth yelling to blow over.
For myself, I'm indifferent to owning a gun. However, my boyfriend wants one and he wants me to know how to use it, which I am also fine with. I suppose it will be useful in the zombie apocalypse
Let me guess does the gun topic have to do with people blaming the NRA for guns just because of last year's shooting events like the Connecticut school shooting and the Aurora, CO shooting during the premiere of Batman The Dark Knight?
As do those thatoppose them. For example, a university in Colorado suggesting that, in case of a rape, you ought to urinate on yourself in order to fend off the attacker rather then have a CCW. What worse is that the NRA has no actual legislative authority. People like John Morse, who want to blame the manufacturer for someone useing a gun in a crime, do.
Biden isn't a member of the gun lobby or the Brady Campaign. He's a gaffe-prone adorkable VP. The NRA is a genuinely dangerous organization which has an enemies list, and can't understand the purpose of background checks. They influence legislation which may ultimately cost lives.
Are you kidding me? Biden is an ELECTED official, YOU are directly responsible for putting him in the position of power he currently holds. A position that is only a heartbeat away from becoming the most powerful position in the country.
And the man's an idiot. Can you say liability?
Oh, but it's the NRA that's dangerous? Why? Because they support the people's right to semi automatic weapons (what you may know incorrectly as "military style" "assault rifles"). Do you know how many people are murdered with rifles every year? Did you know that number is lower than the number of people killed by their own bedsheets every year?

he's a two faced politician, who got his spot via connections, like the rest of them, get over it.
"The NRA is a genuinely dangerous organization which has an enemies list" Oh stop, your pretending there aren't half a dozen organizations, to include either the democratic party as a whole, or its supporting PACs, and super PACs which are not far worse.
As to date, no NRA member of this forum, has started a thread to crowd source ways to round up and eliminate dissent. your organization has gotten farily scary of late.
