"The rule 34 and 35" or "My creations fear"

My name is Matt, and I am an amateur artist, both in drawing and literature.
My actual great ambition is to create a big story I will share here on DA. It might first be made as a novel I will write. And maybe one day, a comic I will draw as well (I hope !).
It will have its own scenario, plot and characters, all this created by me.
I'm very motivated and already work hard to prepare it. My goal being that my story reach a large audience, and entertain this audience !
But one thing scares me : The rule 34 of the internet, which says "If it exist, there's porn of it" and the rule 35 that complete the rule 34 by "If there's not, start creating it"
I'm a weird minded artist : I have therefore a strong emotional bond to what I create. My universe, and especially my characters. I care about it a lot.
Therefore, I'd like peoples treat my content and myself kindly and with respect... I mean, any artist want this, isn't it ?
But actually... I wonder if that rule 34 would apply to what I create as well...
And that terrifies me, because if I see peoples making porn of what I create, without even asking my permission, it would feel like a big disrespect, and it would really hurt me.
My characters and story aren't made for this kind of stuff...
And that fear is huge, and complicate my work advance quite much.
So I make this post in hope to get advices.
To avoid this to happen.
Is there any soft way to make peoples understand that simple wish to not see them making porn of what I create ?
To make them understand my feelings ?
Because I feel like someday, I will need to do it, cause that rule 34 might attack my creation, one day...
And trust me, just this tiny little thing stresses me a lot.
I hope you can help me.

1) no one needs to ask permission to draw rule34 of your characters.
2) trust me, your stories won’t become so big that you’ll have to worry about rule34 art being made of your characters. If your lucky a small handful of people will read your story, that’s it.

1)Well sorry but they shall do. When you want do stuff with something that belong to someone else, you have to ask for the permission. That's called politeness and respect

Well, I guess I'll be one of those who will ask people to ask for permissions, then.
I'd say, as others say, in internet anything can happen. But you can ignore them like it never happen. If anyone sexualises your works against your wish, you should just deride them as someone not worth talking to for such rudeness and disrespect to your creations. As of now, simply making disclaimer not to disrespect your work with such scraps may do.
I know I'd also call out anyone who does this kind of scrap to my original creations and refuse to associate with them.
This reminds me that even upon recent announcement of Pokemon SnS, fans are already tired of it and lamented "Rule 34 is a mistake".
That's what I try to do : Ignore things. But that's hard because this things triggers me deep inside, and it becomes hyper hard to ignore them.

Unfortunately, there's no way to stop such things. I have the exact same fear you do, yet it is ironic since... I am a huge avid fanfiction enthusiast. It's a bit hypocritical, but like you, I also have a super emotional bond to what I create. I wish I could tell you it won't happen, and maybe it won't... if it's not that popular.
In a way, Rule 34 is a mark of recognition and success. Are you perhaps afraid of your work becoming a success?

I know how you feel. I have my own lifetime project and my designs are weird. Still, I didn't make pictures like this one

If you don't want anyone to disrespect your story/thoughts/etc, you should just never let them see the light of day. It may be harsh, but that is how the world is, and if you can't take it, it's best to not give any chance for it.
On the other hand, even bad press is good press. If you do anything in the public sphere, people will disrespect it in some way, so it's best to not care about cretins, and let the light of your creativity outshine the mud that's tossed on it.

If you're going to wallow with the pigs, do so because you enjoy it, not because it will in any way reduce the amount of mud around. Because they'll just leave more mud tomorrow.
