Deviant Art please stop recommending death art to me!
UPDATE- Hi. I took some advice that was given to me and I started to type in some tags to have them stop being recommended to me. Well that didn't really work out very well, so I started to click on these images to see what kinds of tags were being used. Well the tags didn't really represent what these pieces were about. The tags are kind of generic.
Just to let everyone know, I'm not trying to tell anyone what they can and can't draw. If you look at my DA account, there's plenty on there that you probably wouldn't want to see. That's okay, I respect all artists! I'm also not asking for anyone to be censored! I don't believe in censorship myself, but there are some things that I can't stomach.
Death art happens to be just that. Not just any death art either, I mean death art that seems to fetishize it! I can't stand that kind of stuff, but DA recommend it to me! I do know that you can ask DA not to recommend certain art to you, but that's not helping!
I've asked DA not to recommend a dozen kinds of drawings, but everyday I keep seeing more and more!
So please work on that DA. Again, not asking for censorship, just a better option here.

Yeah, but if you search for 'cars', that doesn't mean you want 'little animals crushed by cars', right?
i would like death art please
Not only did I make judicious use of tag muting to get rid of the violent porn, as I moved through the Recommended For You feed, I clicked the three dots in the corner (they are visible on rollover), and selected Show Less Like This. It took a bit, but I haven't seen anything particularly egregious in some time. Somebody turned me on to that strategy by saying the algorithm needed training.
I have similar issues, though thankfully nothing as bad as that. For some reason, the site thinks I'm some sort of big-time Dragonball fanboy. I mean, I like it, but I'm not in the fandom, nor am I really interested in fan art (unless it's really good, of course, but I won't go actively looking for it).
I'm curious if you don't mind. Do you look at any of the tags to see if they match with anything you look up yourself? The tags that I saw on that death art didn't match up with anything that I've looked up personally.

I get a lot of awesome art and then I get a lot of pictures of MLP...usually fetish o.O, Thomas the Tank Engine, bloating art (Which I did not actually know was a fetish until DA thought I was into that. o.O and feet! o.O x.X
Sounds like you already have, but if not you can add filters in Settings - Browsing ; then type in a ton of tags that you don't want to see. So maybe put in something like; "Death" "Fetish" or "DeathFetish". Idk what the tags on those types of artwork would be.

This is also likely happened to me. When I searching, it's porn arts. Uncomfortable for me.

ahhh yes i agree. some really dark stuff makes me uncomfortable, and im not a fan of some algorithm preselecting art for me. if youd like to browse without recommended, try this link:
it gives the most recent uploads, unflitered. recommended has been recommending me a lot of anime styled art, and while i like anime, i also like other art styles (ukiyo e and art nouveau are my favorite) so i prefer to browse the unfiltered art page to discover new artists.
