so i finally removed the keylogger and set a password to my laptop. all done yay!
guess what happen next? my brother went as far as to REMOVE my password by using safe mode and then hack through my computer and then reinstall the keylogger again without saying anything to me.
caught it again.
he thinks he's so stealthy but i saw him peeking out for me at the window of our house and then run back downstairs as i drove into our garage.
my complaint: UGH NOT ALL OVER AGAIN. THIS SO FUCKING HARD TO REMOVE

Call me late to the party, but please tell me when something gets resolved here. Reading these two threads and only hearing suggestions about what to do is like reading a book, being left a cliffhanger, and left to guess at what kind of ending comes about.

Put your laptop in a physical case with a lock and key.
1) Make a copy of the files on his computer and transfer it to yours as proof.
2) Reformat his entire computer so he has no record of your passwords/credit card numbers. Destroy any and every external hard drive he has.
3) Cancel all credit cards.
4) Take your power cord/battery/HDD/entire laptop with you, everywhere you go.
5) Punch the fuck out of your brother.
6) Tell your mother.
7) Report him to the police.

Take your laptop to a computer store and see if they can remove it. Use a external harddrive from now on. Take your laptop with you at all time. Tell your mom that your bro have been stealing from you. If anything, send him pron from a fake account you made from a different computer.

Y'know, I really can't stand the safe mode workaround trick. Kind of defeats the purpose of having a password system. It's like having a locked door only to have a key right under your door mat with the words "EASY WAY IN!" written on it.

is there at least some kind of program you can get that gives your system an actually reliable password system? I figure if there's a million ways one can get porn onto their computer from the internet, and a handful of ways to clean out the mess from viruses and other malware, there should at least be one useful method of keeping others off your computer, right?

safe mode should still need a password but again there's ways around that if you know what to do.
do something equally harmful to HIS shit and report his ass to his school's cop. maybe a talk with the authorities at school will stop his idiocy at home.
