Chromium OS anyone?

I just got the CD-image file and want to install it
anyone here used this OS? is it good? and how is it going on your notebook/PC?

it is what it is. there are a lot of neat extensions for chrome, and basic desktop utils. If that's your thing then go for it, but the extensions don't really justify lack of desktop components.

Not worth it imo. It has some interesting features but nothing so great as to warrant using it. At least not that I can see.

I've been meaning to play around with it on virtual box, but I certainly wouldn't trust it as my main OS. I know someone that uses a chromebook and he can't run ANY normal programs on it.

I wouldn't trust an OS made by google, to be perfectly blunt. I'd take any regular UNIX OS over it, which I'd probably do anyways even if a google OS wasn't involved.

Also, apparently it's designed to run on web apps. I'd rather use real apps.

Chromium is Chrome before Google, just for reference.

I still wouldn't want the 'internet is OS' concept.

No, I'm pretty sure Chromium is just google offering their source code for free. Same with the OS.
