If I add a background in my body, how do I change its size?

You can change the height and width of the element with the background image, if that's what you mean.

Firstly you should be doing that with CSS, not html: [link] and [link] [link]
-Size would also be dependent on what your doing.
Alternately, if you just want to display a background image for a page, try
<img src="your image.xxx" style="z-index: 0; position: absolute; top: 0px; left: 0px;" height="100%" width="100%" alt="" />

-but definitely steer clear of bgimage :)
