If I add a background in my body, how do I change its size?

You can change the height and width of the element with the background image, if that's what you mean.

You resize it in your favorite image editor :B

Firstly you should be doing that with CSS, not html: [link] and [link] [link]
-Size would also be dependent on what your doing.
Alternately, if you just want to display a background image for a page, try
<img src="your" style="z-index: 0; position: absolute; top: 0px; left: 0px;" height="100%" width="100%" alt="" />

-but definitely steer clear of bgimage :)
