The Keyboard Behaves As If The ALT Key Is Being Held Down

While in the middle of working on my computer, the keyboard sometimes behaves as if I’m holding down the ALT key. As I do use it a lot while working in Photoshop, it would be safe to assume that the circuit under the ALT key was wearing out but logging out and back into Windows seems to temporarily fix whatever the error is. Whatever is it, it is a software issue and I need to find a solution. This is driving me crazy because I run my own and operate a successful Windows based operating system maintenance and repair business. I should be able to fix this on my own but the solution somehow eludes me. So, what’s wrong and how do I keep it from happening again and again?

Have you tried swapping out the keyboard and seeing if it's the same problem? I know it SEEMS like a software problem, but doing that one step could save you a lot of headaches IMO.

Yes. I tried that. It's a software problem.
