Well, well, if it isn't Jucheck.exe...

...The one malware my AVG antimalware suite refuses to get rid of.

It's that fake Java updater that when you run it, it always "fails" the "Java installation" which it is really a virus...and I have absolutely no idea how to rid myself of it. AVG doesn't detect it when I run a scan...is there a tool I can download to get rid of that pesky thing, or something?

Check with Malwarebytes: [link] but it's really doubtful that jucheck.exe is malware [link]

How do you know it's the fake Java updater and not the real one? Is it signed or unknown?

You can kill it by starting in Safemode, going to your system32\dllcache\ folder and deleting it from there.

It is not signed; that's for sure. I'll be sure to try that out.

If it's not signed then you may have gotten the malware version. That said, AVG can and will easily remove that particular bit of malware. I know from experience :p

I would say that you should totally uninstall Java and see if it goes away. Then reinstall Java and check for the signature on the software.
