Well my computer, (its a Dell windows XP desktop), has the blue screen of Death ( again, well actually it had it since April) but here's the thing i keep pressing F8, safe mode with good configuration, and it winds up saying this: UNMOUNTABLE BOOT VOLUME
STOP 0X000000ED (0X8A57900, 0XC0000006, 0X00000000) am i doing anything wrong? So I called Dell yesterday out of desperation (and boredom), and apparently they said this: Dell- You need a pre paid credit card in order for us to help you I also have a purple reinstallation CD would that work or no?
Which model? Is it with an old IDE drive? If so, you may need to enable "autodetect" or "Auto" in the BIOS. Other than that, a disk check [link] is in order.
