Ok, everywhere I go..nobody ever answers this question that I have that I seriously need to get fixed, asap would be lovely. Hell, even the Skype forums didn't answer me.
Ok, I'm trying to chat with my boyfriend on Skype, except for one problem. Skype doesn't want me to do that. Whats happening is I'm sending him my messages, and they are going through...just..not all the way. You know when it doesn't go through you get that little spinning cirle next to the message, but mine don't ever get that. Even so, about a half hour later he will send me a "hello?".
This used to happen, but it happened about once every few months...and it would happen and never happen for the rest of that day. Then, it started more and more, but still, only happened about once a day. Right now, it is happening every single day, and about every 10 minutes. Yesterday..it happened the second after it was fixed. The only thing that seems to fix it is calling him, but even that only works every so often.
I know that it's his connection, but the only problem with that is apparently he doesn't have a router. And when I looked up how to fix it, they always say "unplug the router" "do this with the router" "do that with the router" so yeah, those ideas are useless. Apparently, he has built in wireless, and I'm not familiar with that at all. If anyone has a computer like that and is familar with how to fix it, please help me.
I would tell you more about his computer but I can't because every time I ask, it stops working.
We barely get to spend any time together as it is now that he has school and is already pretty busy, and this is just making it 10x worse, so if anybody could help me, that would be awesome. Or even just a link to how to speed up the connection with a computer like he has would be cool too.
The laptop's built-in wireless is just a receiver for the signal from the router. Unless he's using a neighbour's unsecured wifi, he has a router that can be reset, turned off and on, dropkicked down the stairs, or whatever needs doing to get it to work. If he's mooching someone else's wireless, then there's not a whole lot that can be done.
