A video capture program that doesn't add too much stress on a computer~

Hey I wanted to record a map I want to build with some friends for Minecraft but since I'm the one running the server, there's more stress on me. I just want a problem that can run in a pretty good fps and record sound too~ Any of you know of a program?

Oh and it has to be free too~

That's a difficult question XD Most recording programs will kill your FPS, though I know ways to set up fraps that will help keep your fps stable.

How much FPS do you get while playing?
DXtory is probably the best option for it though it is quite the experiance setting it up. I found it wasn't worth it since my system is powerfull enough to record anyting with FRAPS. Though FRAPS uses a lot of system resources.

Well with my other programs it would slow down to like 7-9 FPS which just made the recording look bad sadly. What is FRAPS anyway?

frame recording program it functions as a gameplay recorder. It's also NOT free. It will probably also kill your frames per second.

What are your computers specifications anyway?

That first one you gave me is so awesome too... I wish I had the money for it.

My desktop runs on Windows 7. Has a 4 GB RAM with a AMD Phenom II x2 521 Processor (didn't know that o3o) And it's a x64 bit system~

i see you didnt give me the specs of your graphics card in the system ;o

you can find it in control panel -> device manager and then something like screen adapters
it should be an immage of a monitor (there are 2) one of them should be your monitor and the other one when extended should be your graphics card.

But my guess is your computer is not really cut out for the job. You can try putting your monitor in a lower resolution ^^

Are you willing to sacrifice quality and dignity, to bring yourself upon the tide of ridicule and a potential target for Retsupray?
