Having memory problems

My computer's hard drive is usually about 20 GB free of disk space. But then a few days ago, it's almost all gone. I don't know if it's my CPU, or if it's time to get a new computer.

Ok, I just realized why I was losing space. Because I downloaded TestDisk and it is over 20 GB!

When was the last time you rebooted your machine?
Windows machines have a habit of piling up junk as "pagefile.sys".

Anyway,
You can always disable hibernation.
1. Open Search (WIN+Q on Win8 Machine or open Start Menu and type) and type CMD. Right click to Run as Administrator.
2. Type powercfg -h off.
3. Hibernation is now off.
4. To turn it on again, repeat 1-2 but instead type powercfg -h on.

Also,
Go to C:\Users\***USERNAME***\AppData\Local\Temp and clear everything. (SHIFT+DELETE).
If something does not erase don't worry.

Nothing to do with your CPU. You probably just downloaded something. Could be updates - hard to say.

There are a few ways to reclaim HDD space. Delete unnecessary files, clear the recycle bin, and so on. You can also use something like Piriform's CCleaner to help clean up unneeded temp files. Windows also has a built in disk cleaning program you can access by right clicking on the drive in My Computer -> properties -> Disk Cleanup
