Hello everyone,

Just a quick question, I'm looking to improve my computer so I am able to play games such as (Planetside 2) and also just to tune up my pc anyway.

I currently have a bog standard HP Pavilion G5460uk

Specs:
Intel Core i3 -2100 speed up to 3.1GHz
4 GB of RAM
Intel Graphics Media Accelerator HD Integrated graphics
Internal 300W Power Supply

If you need any more info let me know but, would it be upgrading the RAM and graphics card turn it into a more gaming friendly pc?

Thanks very much!

a low end graphics card would be about all you really need to install. Luckily you can pick up some small and cheap, but effective cards and install it in about 10 minutes tops.

brackets? ...no. You just need to make sure your card fits in your case and your power supply can handle it.

The original thread died, but this one still works. It's a little outdated, though, so you might have to do a bit of searching to get what you need.

Well yeah, getting a proper graphics card to replace an integrated graphics card would help tremendously, depending what you get. Unless you're using a laptop, in which case upgrading would be very difficult if not impossible.

Other than that, getting an SSD and doubling your RAM are always viable solutions.
