Enter key isn't working

The enter key on my laptop just stopped responding. It doesn't feel like there's anything stuck under there and the key isn't loose. I can't remember doing anything that would stop it working, and I've tried Googling what's wrong. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm not exactly a genius with computers so any advice would be much appreciated. :)

Never mind, I was messing about with my computer and I don't know what I did, but it worked. :la: I think it was hotkeyed to the control panel or something.

Wait, it's not stopped working entirely. It still lets me use it when I put my password in to log on, but not on a Google search, comment, Word document or anything. At least I know it's not a problem with the keyboard. '^^
