How do you replace the usb cord on a wacom3?

Mine got snagged and the rubber sheath broke around a portion of it. Or can I just use electrical tape and it will be fine?

I mean, heat shrink tubing would be a much better option than electrical tape. But electrical tape will work.

As long as the wiring within the cord itself did not rip, it will be fine.

I'd go with electical tape. I fixed my laptop cooling mat wire two years ago with tape and it still holds and work fine.
