Kindle Fire HD?

My parents were planning to get it for me for Christmas, but I was wondering if you're able to take pictures on it. I know there's a front camera to Skype but a Best Buy employee told me you couldn't capture photos. But then on Facebook someone told me they found out how to take pictures. (on the Kindle Fire. Is there a difference?) So, yes or no~? Please & thank you~! :3

I want a kindle fire hd 7", they look amazing! Cant wait to see what apps i can get for it.. I've got an iphone so i'm not familiar with android apps
