Wacom Bamboo Fun likes to ignore pen pressure? Erratic behavior?

Recently my Bamboo Pen and Touch tablet died and I had to get a relatively cheap tablet quickly - so I bought a Wacom Bamboo Fun.

It's pretty nifty, however I have a major complaint.

Whenever I am painting, the pen pressure likes to turn off for a split second. Below is an example of what happens:

[link] See the big blue blob on the right? I was gently painting and this happens all the time.

I'll be painting normally, and all of a sudden I'll see this big blob of color come up. I'm not sure if this is a lag problem, but this is what I've tried and I still have the issue:

- Uninstalled/reinstalled tablet
- Updated drivers
- Turned off TabletPCInput in Control Panel > Services
- Disabled Flicks

It's the erratic behavior of this tablet that frustrates me so much and I can't seem to find a solution. It makes painting very difficult, and I really can't get much done.

If there isn't a solution to this problem, am I just better off buying a new tablet?

Thanks in advance ;n;

I own a Wacom Bamboo Tablet and come across the same problem but I realized it was due to the way I hold my pen. I use the base of my thumb to rotate my pen and in doing so often hit the buttons on the pen causing the pen pressure to switch off.

I don't know if this is the cause of your problem though. But otherwise I haven't experienced any other faults with the tablet.

I've avoided using the buttons/hitting them and have even tried holding my pen differently but the same problem still happens :<

Wow, honestly I have no idea. Could be that your tablet/pen is faulty. Sorry I couldn't help. ;u;

if you're using photoshop it will happen on occasion... the only way to deal with it is to allow photoshop to run with more virtual memory... thats the only fix i've found to work... but if im running multiple programs that hog up memory then it'll still happen occasionally. Shut all ur other processes down and put 3/4ths of ur ram up for virtual memory inphotoshop (if you use ps) and see if you still have issues.

Feel free to slap me and call me a nub, but how does one go about letting a program run with more virtual memory? :O

depends on the program... photoshop allows you to do it in the general properties... windows itself has some features... what are you working with?

thats plenty... you'll be using ~3.75 gigs if you put it to 75%... try it and see if you still lag
