I cannot click the start bar with my tablet

For some reason, I am unable to actually click anything that is on what I like to call the "Start Bar" (area where open apps are shown next to the Start button) with my tablet. I can hover over everything just fine, but as soon as I click the start bar with my tablet, it freezes up and I have to use the mouse to move the cursor off the start bar and then it will work again. I cannot re-install the drivers, because the tablet is "Plug and Play" with my Windows 7, and the disc that came with it has the drivers for Windows XP and the macro key manager software.

Does anyone have any suggestions? it has happened a few times before

I'm thinking does the tablet have a shortcut area? Somehow that may have been mapped to the bottom of the tablet so that's cutting off your taskbar. I'd look at the software and see about this.

Nope, no shortcut/macro keys on the bottom, only on the top and sides. It's only when I actually try to click something on the Start Bar that it freezes.

You could try and download updated drivers from the manufacturers website, get rid of the old drivers and then do a fresh install. Usually updating drivers helps with most tablet movement issues.

Belive it or not, the tablet, SlimTablet058, came with absolute no contact information. I don't know who manufactured it, the website, or anything. I think it's no longer supported, because there are newer models, but even when searching for the newer models, I still can't find any contact info.

According to a google search the manufacturer of your tablet is called Accusee, so you could see if they have a website (althought i think it might be mostly in Chinese).

If you ever want to buy a new tablet at some stage, i'd suggest something from Wacom. They have pretty good driver updates and support. Although their cheapest tablet is like $80 USD or something, up to $1000s for the more high end ones.
