Question regarding threads
I know this is a bit off topic, but the website in question is not helping me any.
Is there a way to temporarily re-open 4chan threads? I know this probably sounds freaking stupid, but a friend of mine linked me to a archived 4chan post with info I would like to see regarding a video game, but it said 'deleted'(404).
Is there a way to temporarily reopen the thread, so I could 'save page as' to my desktop to use it as reference? Or when they're closed/deleted does saving them do nothing?
Yes, I've checked with 4chan, no help.

No, you can't reopen it.
If it's old enough it may have been cached before it was deleted

technically yes, but the file is probably corrupted and unusable.
Is there a way to try just to see?
you'd have to find the harddrive the thread was put on or something like that. even then you'd have to find someone who could find the deleted file, the most likely thing that would happen if you somehow did all that is the file would be corrupted or overwritten already.
