mobile system previlages
I have an s5. And I fear rooting as I dont want to break my phone. I also dont have a computer. So its not possible. What I want to do is change a system file so I can write to my sd card because I need the space.
So I tried the sdfix app but it requires rooting. I thought of doing it manually but all the browsers I got allow you to veiw system files but not change them. So to finish doing this I need to find a way to change the permissions on these files?
Or perhaps a file editor which can get around the permissions?

You can usually root phones without a PC. Google around for one that will work with your firmware.
Just root it. It's not as scary as you think. After you do that, follow the instructions and don't touch anything else.
In a worst-case scenario, I assume you could just restore the OS anyways, but I've never touched Android.
