Do today's Window's Movie Maker program in computers support the .MOV file?

The laptop I'm on won't accept my Nikon Coolpix's videos to be edited, (a .MOV file.) Do the Window's Movie Maker programs in today's laptop support that file? Anyone know?

i doubt movie maker will edit .mov files.
if it will, i would imagine you would need a pro version of quicktime installed.

Ah okay. I can upload these to my computer, but I would want to edit them into a Montague. Would a mac (laptop) accept .Mov is it's main video editing program? Forgot what it's called.

i'm not sure if you would need quicktime pro to edit .mov files on osx with imovie... it may edit .mov files by default.
hopefully someone with imovie experience can reply. :)

Yes, all modern operating systems will play .mov/edit

What program are you using?
