First up there is nothing wrong with Internet Explorer 9. In fact I think it is actually better than Firefox 17. If I.E had ad block+ I think I would be using that as my main browser instead of Firefox 17 (which I currently use as my main browser).
Secondly I have just tried Tumblr on my I.E9 and it works beautifully. So it can't be I.E that is the problem. Can I ask what version of I.E are you using?
Thirdly you have shown why I wouldn't use crap Chrome for all the gold on the planet. Chrome is crap get rid of it. I.E9 is superiour to it. But since you don't like I.E go and get Firefox 17.0. Fx kicks the crap out of Chrome.
Do this, load up Internet Explorer along the top of the page on the right hand side you will see "page" "safety" "tools" and a ? inside a little blue circle. Click on it and a drop down box will appear. Click on "about Internet Explorer" and that brings up a "box" that tells you what version of I.E you are using.
Can I ask, Have you tried clicking on "compatibility view" on I.E. On I.E9 "if you have it" go to tumblr and on the right hand side of the address bar look for a little box on the left side of the "refresh arrow" that is you compatibility view click on that and see if it does anything.
Also can I ask what Windows you are using?
There is nothing complicated whatsoever about Firefox. Like I said Fx 17.0 is good browser and really easy to use. Why don't you download Fx17.0 and give it a try.
Like I said get rid of the rubbish Chrome. Internet Explorer and Firefox beat the living crap out of it. Hells even Opera and Safari would be a better choices over Chrome. I have been using Firefox for over 2 years and Internet Explorer for about 15 years.
First of all, I would like to continue using Chrome, and I don't want to start arguing over web browsers, because that's pretty stupid. And I don't think my little laptop can handle any more browsers, its almost packed to overflowing already.
Also, I am using Windows 7 Starter. My IE doesn't seem to have the "?" option? It has Home, Favorites, and Options, and the Options menu doesn't have anything about IE.
If you haven't yet, you should check for any parasites on your computer: Malwarebytes Antimalware [link] and SuperAntiSpyware: [link] -both free applications. Run quick scans (independently, one app at a time) with both of these and delete anything bad they find.
