Using NetBeans to make the layout for me.

I kind of feel bad for using a program to make the layout, position, and placement of buttons and whatnot for me when I code in java. I still write the rest of the code myself. But when i began to learn coding I was told that using a program to do things for me is bad.

I work as a software programmer and haven't time to learn to code GroupLayout. If i would take my time and learn it I would come behind on my work assignments.

So how bad is it to use programs that codes for me?

Depends if you have the time to do everything yourself. If you can hand-code yourself, that is a very valuable skill to have. But honestly, it doesn't matter at all as long as it actually works.
