Ok, If I'm putting this in the wrong place, please tell me and I'll move it ASAP! (I apologize in advance for any idiocy on my part!) So my mom has just informed me that every time I click on a picture to see it full view, the computer gets a cookie. Yeah. That's bad and my mom considered deleting my deviantART account because of that. How do I fix it, if I can, and if I can't fix it, what can I do to help my situation??? PLEAS HELP!

Allow me to clarify this:

First of all, the cookies deviantART makes determine whether you're logged in or not. Cookies in general aren't malicious unless you start giving information that could potentially be exploited (credit card information, address, etc.), but deviantART uses the HTTPS protocol when it comes to sending sensitive data. Basically, your personal information is safe.

Besides, deleting your account isn't going to help. All you need is a decent browser/antivirus program and knowledge on how to avoid malicious websites. Cookies are your friends.

I know this is your mother we're talking about here, but to be honest, she can't be good with computers if she doesn't understand how cookies work :\

its your browser... not deviantart... what browser you use mostly? d/l a different browser all together and set it to not save cookies...

for example
if you use chrome right now to do all your stuff > d/l firefox and set your browser to not save cookies. > use firefox for DA stuff and then chrome for the rest of ur web activities

Or
use Tor Browser and surf anonymously... although its a bit slower cuz of the peer connections
