hi there... I am trying to work on a platform game and I can't figure out how to make my character jump on a platform ...everything else is working fine like walking turning and jumping...all I need is platforms....anyone know a code for that? oh and for AS2
I hope I can be of use about helping when I start making Flash Game, it will take me some time to start that module, though. Or, at least, I hope I can learn something from you by a few mensages as I look various videos on YT to learn out (that's how I make things work, weird, huh?)
i figured it out just now! Finally oh it's so hard being self taught in flash action script codes.... I looked up all the youtube tuts but couldn't find what I wanted exactly...but I figured it out finally ^^ by common sense did not fail me this time
I supppose it's not a complex command, I worked with flash animation with sprites some months ago. That's why I offered some kind of useless help there.
oh I could use lots of help! I am still not done ofcourse..these are just the basics I still have to figure out some scripts for inventory items and next stage portals ad stuff... are you familiar with them? and this might be a rookie question..but what are sprites?
Did you play some... Megaman? For example. Well, the character, the enemies, the shots, everything is "sprite", divided in charset, enemy, stage and other elements of the game. But the charset is the character, his transformations (if he has) and some of his attacks. As the shots themselves, for Megaman, I think they are separated from the char.
ah I understand now yes..Yeah I used to play the old version of it a long time ago back when I was a kid... I know what you mean... are you familiar with some coding for inventory stock panels..? I also need a code for when my character hits a wall (door) he moves to another stage as in the next keyframe...
Sorry, but that class I had was the basics of the basics. Just how to move the character, and it wasn't using key controls, I had to learn that by myself, and you know? I forgot XD
