Pretty simple...

1.) Post ONE thumb of your work.

2.) Leave a simple comment of MY thumb in your post.

3.) Type your age

4.) Traditional art only

NOTE: If I don't think you are that good I will flat out tell you.

only my second painting.
i just turned 20 a month ago.

your drawing is pretty decent, especially for only one hour. who knows what it could have been if you put in two or three hours of work. good start, you have a handle on shading and i like your aesthetic.

2. How far along is this piece? That will influence what I may say suggest about it. As of right now the light source is a bit unclear... but you may not have even begun to think about that yet, so I hold my silence!

3. I don't see how this has anything to do with it.

If they don't want to tell you their age they don't have to.

We don't see you going around telling your age to people.

It's nice, but in my honest opinion I think the nose needs work. That's in my opinion.

I'm 24.

yeah...judging his piece of work alone you are not at the caliber if some one that has a grasp of artistic concepts. You need sharper lines. More convincing shading. YOu lack composition. Its just every rudimentary. I like your other work but I don't really like this one. Its basic and naive.

Work on your forms and your general aesthetic. Painting is not that appealing. The subject matter is incomprehensible and the composition is really poor. Take some drawing classes, painting classes and practice using a reference. Your lines are sloppy and your general understanding of the basics of art is poor. This could work if the composition was a lot better but overall this is not a successful piece. The one thing you have going for you is your age.

One of my deviations>>> [link]

I find the shading very beautiful, although i do believe it would look more finished if the hair was filled in :)

I think this drawing suffers from the restraints of your age. Anatomy needs work. the line quality could be more refine. Also it is kind of sloppy. Try different type of lines. Put definition in your forms as well. Not bad. I like your light sources. You are decent.
