*please note, these rings are individually constructed. They are connected in the center section, which gave the model its knot form.

This model was folded out of 1,110 pieces of 3 in square paper. Each piece required eight folds to make a phizz unit. No glue was used and it is not necessary. Each unit tightly slides into the pocket folds of the other. In order to ensure the colors were right. I plotted the pattern out on 5 sheets of printer paper, which simplified matters considerably.

Robert Gretter's diagram gave me a foundation, but I used my own variation of it to complete my project. There are ten sections to the model. Each ring mirrors the other, so there are 5 distinct sections. Section 1= 139 units. Sections 2,3, and 4= 111 units. Section 5= 83 units. This totals 555 and doubled= 1,110.

sorry. After the asterisk, I meant that the rings are one and are not individually constructed.
