I want to see your dark, creepy, morbid and freaky! Who says Halloween has to be over on the 31st of October?

Here's some of mine.

It's the darkest thing I got- it's not so too scary though.

This has a lot of emotion to it. It's not so much freaky but it is quite sad. :(

It is slenderman. Nothing says dark and freaky like the slenderman. :P Thank you! That second one was fingerpainted for maximum texturyness.

What an original style you have. I see vintage sci-fi influences and possibly religious icons? My fav. Is the third. Are these original characters?

Thanks.

Yes, they're all original characters although the two on the far left and far right don't really have a fleshed out story yet and aren't characters in the same story as the middle three. The 2nd and 3rd thumbs are the same character and the 4th is the woman on right side of his head in the 2nd thumb.

This is an early version of Tsarkopf where his face isn't as oblong although it probably turned out that way due to the different sizes in paper used.

I guess he's supposed to be an evil gypsy/warlock is the best way to describe him. I have it further worked out than that in my head, of course. A key inspiration is probably how Vlad Tepes' eyes seem to bulge out in the portraits of him.

As far as iconography goes, the insect over the jewel on his turban is taken from Egyptian scarabs. The jewel is directly inserted into and seals up a third orifice than contains a pineal gland stalk that extends out if the jewel is removed.

This pilgrim/demon inspired by the Tall Man and Henry Kane from Poltergeist II is also a major character in the story.

I guess the story is called Eldersberg, MASS.

At this point, I don't know if it will ever get out of a pet project stage I just screw around with when I get the itch; I have a clear-cut beginning, middle and end in mind but filling in the blank space is a murky process. If I ever got the story done and wanted to turn it into a graphic novel I'd probably go ahead and hire a pro.

That's very ornate for markers! Awesome job, especially with the moody lighting and atmosphere. I can't tell if this is dark or more inspiring. But the ambiguity makes it mysterious for sure, and the fact that we cannot see his face adds to this feeling of unease. Good job!

The second is amazing! You composed a great composition with the overlay of complimentary colors, and not only that set a great sense of atmosphere. This is not always easy in a collage. It's detailed yet simple in that you still leave enough black, negative space. You should sell it as a print.

Love the richness in your style. You use color well, some times it's hard to use muted colors effectively but you pull it off. Well done!
