It's totally fine! Lol I used to not totally get the idea of groups and forums and all that either.
Basically, you can treat the story and your character like you're playing a video game. You want to earn EXP so that you can get stronger & do things you couldn't do at level one.
Plus, since you earn EXP by submitting art it's like a reward for being active, which is what I want people to be LOL.
There will also be events that members can complete to earn gold and EXP and even special items or entry into certain areas of Auriel that others do not have access to. Some of these events will be mandatory, but not all.
In terms of RPing... I have set up a Forum for the group to use and RP in, but there is also a chat room, and there is -always- the option of everyone exchanging contact information and RolePlaying through Instant Messengers (Which is the most common way for people to RP I have found) The point is to make new friends through the group, so don't be afraid to talk to others outside of DA
