SAI / OpenCanvas for Mac

There seems to be no mac version for either SAI or OpenCanvas... This is a major disappointment because I make really shitty lineart with Photoshop, and even worse in Painter (which bugs on my Mac anyway).

Are there alternatives? Will it work in CrossOver? Is there any way at all to get either running on a Mac, or an alternative that's as good.

you do realize how unbelievably slow VMWare or // is to run stuff.

They shouldn't be that slow unless you're on a first gen Macbook or Mini with no RAM. You can speed them up by running an older version of doze (Win98 is probably your best bet there) and switching all the fancy stuff to best performance too. If they are too slow to use then Crossover is an alternative that might run OpenCanvas reliably enough to use..

You might want to try Artrage.

I'm on a dual core iMac with 3GB of RAM, yet it's still extremely excruciatingly painfully slow!

i doubt it does in virtualization, lots of the RAM is used by the Mac itself.

I looked at it, but it seems more like a competitor to Painter. I'm looking more for something to do lineart in. Because my lineart done in Photoshop sucks. I gave artrage a try, but it doesn't "feel" right... I don't want to emulate paper so much that I get a background texture.
