Sorry to post again so soon. I couldn't find any rules about how often we can post? So I guess this isn't spamming...
Anyway, my topic today is about iTunes and syncing files to multiple iPods not from the same iTunes account (different accounts, different computers). My mom and I just got two iPod Classics today, mine absorbed my old library items just fine, and my mom's loaded all the music and pics she wants, but we're trying to add a movie to her iPod (which works great on mine), and it says it's "not allowed to play this file on this iPod." Is there any way to tell the reason for that?
It's just a home-made Quicktime file. I think the way I got it into my library way back when was to click and drag. We tried that method for my mom and it would drag into her iTunes, but when we attempted to sync her iPod that error message came up.
And how does iTunes Sharing work exactly? I thought I'd try to get the file to her by sharing, but I can't seem to do anything but listen/watch. It it just for listening, or can you enable it to download stuff from your library? (I can see how that could be piracy, so I wasn't sure if that's even an option.)
It seems to me that it's my file and I should be able to put it where I want it. But for some reason I can't.
Oh, oh, oh!! And one other partially-random thing I want to add so I needn't make yet another thread to inquire:
I have a TV show I purchased from iTunes that's very finicky in that I have to set my iPod on manual to get the show on the iPod, then when I take it back off manual the TV show disappears. I don't want to always have it on manual!
I'm just a troublesome little forum poster, huh.
Thanks for any help!

"Profanity is a matter of superstition. The idea that there are certain sequences of sounds which if said will make everybody very uncomfortable for reasons that they can't quite explain is a very primitive notion."
