ziphone and a iphone questions.

I would like to buy a iPhone next time I go to the USA, and would like to use ziphone to hack it.

Has anyone tried this on the current firmware, and have gotten it activated with the installer icon so you can download AnySIM or something?

What I mean is that hacking the iPhone is illegal so your thread is likely to just get locked here.

True. You can't go to jail, but Apple could sue you for it. But suing you for it would be bad for their image, and EULAs are very hard to enforce anyways (many cases about EULAs have been thrown out because they aren't' always considered legal documents).

But I personally wouldn't recommend ziphone. It downgrades your bootloader, and some people have had trouble with it (including me). I'd recommend the Pwnage tool. It worked for me.

But, on another side note, getting 2.0 IS ILLEGAL. So don't do that.

It's not released yet. It was leaked by apple employees, so it was technically stolen from apple, and downloading it is stealing from apple again.
