Hello DeviantArt lovelies! I'm seeking a colorist for my adult series Peppermint Saga. I'd like to state up front that this is a work-for-hire situation where all work is ultimately owned by me and the so-called "studio" (self-styled vanity name I give to the aforementioned "operation"). It's paid, but the scenario we are looking at here is somewhat "entry level" on price. So, I just wanted to be fair up front about what I am looking for.

The series is anime themed, both in style and content. So I am hoping for a solid approximation of cel shading like they use in animation. Not too exotic. On some occasions, you MIGHT have to add magic effects since it is fantasy based. All artwork will be drawn, inked and ultimately the dialog will be lettered by me. I am actually a fairly capable colorist and have done so professionally once or twice before. But I hate it. HATE, HATE, HATE. That's why I am looking for you.

After the TL;DR, here is the skinny on the gig:

* weekly webcomic, adult themes, mild comedy violence, pornographic content in each "episode".
* Updates once per week on Saturday, we will not begin posting until there is a 4 page backlog. (this is more for my lazy ass than you. Keeps me honest about updates)
* simple cel shade with occasional lighting/magic effects. (no "burn and dodge", I won't accept that)
* If Patreon earnings dictate, possible updates 2x per week. Per page salary increase likely to follow.
* Starting rate: $15 per page. If you respond with "My commission rates are...!" I know you didn't read this. Possible negotiation within reason. Note me. The worst I can say is no. But it's a high risk webcomic with no clear revenue stream besides Patreon. So... please be gentle.
*Payment via PayPal is the only option. I will cover the fees since the pay is jack shit. I can do weekly or monthly. Whatever works for you and keeps you motivated. It's a fun series. I'm just too stressed and overworked to carry all the water myself right now.
* I'll let you post slices of the work for your "portfolio" if you want, but I think we're mostly adults here. DA has rules about content and linking, so be smart for your own benefit, because I've been here 12 years, and unless I tragically die, I'll be here 12 more. I don't want to see someone get screwed over terms of service nonsense.

I'm a pretty straight shooter, but once we've worked together for some time, and I am comfortable with your work, you will find me extremely approachable. So don't hesitate to ask me questions. I've been doing free adult comics online since 2007, so while I'm not a millionaire, I do have a generally positive rep in the community and I like to keep it that way. Unless you want to talk politics with me. Then we can't be friends anymore.
