PLEASE DO NOT MESSAGE IF YOU ARE A DIGITAL COLORIST. ONLY INTERESTED IN WATERCOLORS.

In need of a skilled colorist that can work quickly. The project is 24 pages, and continued work as the series goes on. Check out the project at www.bogusbooks.com

Looking for a traditional colorist (watercolors). Think Moebius, Jean-Pierre Dionnet, Philippe Druillet, Enki Bilal.

Send your best page rates and page examples of your work to: austin@twinwizards.com

Thanks!

Thanks for all the replies. We've found a colorist for this particular issue, but always looking for colorists on upcoming projects.

If you're looking for physical media, the canvases alone are going to run you $100 each before a single drop of paint touches a brush. You're probably looking at upwards of $8000 for 24 pages.

If that's within your budget, then send us a note. We have a couple of artists who have done work in physical media.

He's looking for someone to color comic pages in watercolor. That's done on paper, not canvas.

It's done on paper at art school. When we do art for money, we use quality media. If you want to do pages on your color copier, be my guest.

Watercolors are done on paper, do you know anything about traditional media?

Oh, and, 11x17 canvases would cost you < $20.

At Staples. Let's make a deal here. I'll run my company, you run yours. Fair enough?

Really? Because I can get appropriate size, quality, Fredrix prestretched canvas at Dick Blicks for $15 or less.
You can run your company, but don't fucking lie to customers about costs that are so easy to check on. I've never seen a canvas of appropriate size that cost $100, of even 1/2 that, and I've been making art for over 30 years. Also we're talking about comics here not the Mona Lisa.

I can get 100 lbs. of hamburger at Shovel-n-Save for $99. Doesn't mean I'm going to serve it to the Prime Minister of France at a film festival luncheon.

Been making art for 30 years? Good for you. I supervise 44 creative professionals in 12 time zones. We produce more art in eight hours than you do in six months.

We don't buy shitty materials in bulk from Art-Mart. You want us to do print-ready watercolors on high-quality media it's going to cost you $100 a page for the materials. You don't like the prices? Get the fuck out of my shop. That about cover it or are you one of those last word trolls?
