So I need a good anime artist (not to mention reliable) who has a little bit of experience in drawing good anime character reference sheets from the back, front and side. The said artist has to be good at maintaining contact as it's crucial to get a demo of the game out as soon as possible. I'm aiming for a demo right now with only 1 stage which will be put up on kickstarter later so that we can get the neccesary funds to further develop the game. I will keep the details hush-hush and keep the artist (as well as the rest of the team) informed about the game's story, gameplay, etc. on a need to know basis as I feel that the game won't be any fun at all if all the details of the game got out there before the release of the demo.
The artist will be paid before he or she commences work on anything. I'm willing to pay $150-200 for a reference sheet as the budget of the game is limited. The character sheets will have to be black and white. No color is needed as of now. The artist will also get a few references to work off of, like sketches and pictures of clothing articles for the character if any are available.
These reference sheets will be used later to model the actual characters in 3D afterwards for the game itself. The artist (just like the rest of the team) will be entitled to a slice of the revenue earned when (and if) the game goes commercial. Also a large part of the donations made towards the game will go to the artists as the arists will be commissioned to do some artwork for people who decide to donate a certain amount of money towards the project. The money that the artist will receive for the commission will be the same amount that he/she would normally charge for a commission of the same type (or even more). The artist will also be credited as the lead character designer/artist in the credits
