Visual Novel needs a Character Designer

For close to a month now, I have been working on an original Visual Novel I'm currently calling "Big Bad World 1". I've written a complete draft of the dialogue in the first of three acts, and I've input it into a working game engine. (Ren'py)

The story itself is about a group of quirky College students who accidentally stumble upon a paranormal mystery...and consequently have to work together to save their city! It involves aspects of romance, comedy, mystery and mild horror. The setting takes place in a fictional town in the pacific northwest (So think, Portland...Seattle...ect) and the main cast is American and Canadian. I'm trying to avoid genre cliche, which often has the story set in Japan.

I am currently using photographs for most of the backgrounds, but I do not have any designs for the main cast of characters.

That's where you, the character designer - comes in!

I am looking for an artist who is willing to design 7 anime styled characters for the game. Ideally, since I am not sure if I will end up making profit from the game, I would like volunteers...but I know that is unrealistic.

So, I am offering to pay up front for your services! (Preferably via PayPal)

Since the project doesn't have an official budget, I'm hoping I can work out a deal that is reasonable with whomever decides to cooperate on the project. (I do not wish to become poor

)

What I need from you:
- 7 Characters
- 3-4 Different expressions for each character

To give you a reference for what I am looking for, here is an example picture that was made for placeholder use.
The dimensions/style for the image are the same I would be asking for.

I have made up reference images and descriptions for each of the seven characters, and I will send them to you if you're interested. To those who agree to work with me, I'm also willing to send you an early build of the game, or the game's script if you prefer.
