Sprite Artist Needed for Sega Rpg

:iconm4uesviecr:
Haha! I've returned once more with another offer (one that can literally be considered a job!).

I am working for another project named Affinity:Sorrow, a game currently being made for the Sega Genesis; That's right, the Sega Genesis.

As of recently the head developer/programmer just let our artist go due to lack of work ethic, so we are desperately in need of a new one so as to get the game back on track!

He is looking for a style that is akin to FF6, and there is a demo out of the opening village on youtube:

He doesn't necessarily care if you can copy the in-game artwork piece for piece; As long as it looks good and he likes it, you're doing great.

Pay will be negotiated, and he is eager to hear from prospective spriters!

If interested, please PM me! Questions can be addressed via the thread.

I can't believe this has gone without a reply for 2 days.
I've hesitated to express interest for a couple of reasons, primarily the fact that I have zero experience with sprites or any kind of pixel art...also I've never played FF6. lol Regardless I can't let this sit here unanswered any longer without asking a few things. Maybe my questions, after being answered, will spark more interest in the job if no other good comes from them.
-Are you guys on a delicate time frame that can't accommodate for learning time? (A down right ridiculous question I know.. ^^;)
-Is it even considerable for you to take on an artist with little or no experience with sprites?
-Any idea how long the project may span?

- Being the composer, I can say that we are not on a stringent timeframe. He does like to see updates and work from time to time, but he understands that people have lives (himself included).

- He took me on to compose using a tracker, a program that I had little to no experience with. He had lost a few composers because they either had poor work ethic, or they refused to work with the tracker. Needless to say, I am still here! You can always take on a task he asks of you, and let him be the judge. Either or, you won't be paid unless he likes it.

- The project will take about a year to a year and a half, if all goes well! He DOES expect to finish the project. I wouldn't let him drop it anyway. ;)

If you are still interested, I can PM you his e-mail address.
