The movie is about Nikola Tesla, I need some rough sketches of some of his theoretical inventions to be shown in my movie.
They do NOT need to be real inventions. For instance, I definitely need one of the "blueprint" sketches to be of his proposed "Death ray" a prototype of which was never found, so that means the artist has a considerable amount of freedom. Also need one of a time machine.
These sketches will be showed close up, and I will make many copies of them so the artist should be aware that I will need either the originals or a high-definition copy of the works. I will, of course, give full credit, and payment will be through paypal.
$10 for the sketch that is neither the death-ray or the time-machine(which I will describe upon further inquiry $15 for sketch of Death-Ray $15 Time Machine

Same questions as above, as well as should there be any notes or anything involved? Do you have a preferance on the type(color specifically) of the backgrounds or just plain white?

As I gaze upon the shining snow, these claws of mine tear away at the restraints of this world.
Good question. I think that standard 8 by 11 pages(or those found in printer paper stacks) should be good for the Death Ray and the other one but I think the Time machine should be bigger than that, it should be on a square piece of paper(if that is possible)
As for details, I would love to have gears and such involved. My main objective is to show the assembled machines rather than their exploded views. If that involves having a rough sketch and then drawing strait lines accross it in a grid or asterisk pattern, then that is fine.
As for color of background, white is fine, Beige or "antiqued" brownish would be better than awesome.
The film is set during Tesla's time period, so if they are too antiqued, they will seem out of place. They are supposed to look as though they have been sitting in a chest for 40 years of Tesla's life. Given the nature of paper at that time, an aging effect would have occurred more quickly, so "slightly old", not "Da Vinci sketches" old.
Not necessarily "fully designed" either, if you choose to do so, I will most definiytely not complain, but for the price, I am only expecting rough sketches that have a recognizable form of their subject.
oh i see... have you found an artist yet? i took an architectural design course and can replicate the look and everything, plus i might have some yellowed newsprint on hand to draw on. my only concern is how to send it without possibility of damange? and cheaply?
