NightStorm Productions is starting a monthly sequential art (comic book) anthology. We are currently accepting submissions for our issue zero. Issue zero will be used to show to potential retailers and advertisers. While there will be no pay for issue zero, all subsequent issues will pay an $80 page rate, and anyone who has there work published in issue zero will have the option of having their work published in the for pay issue one.

The Details:

Full color comics will be considered much more favorably than black and white ones.

Mature readers titles are fine (in some cases preferable), however I am not looking for adult titles at this time.

If you have any questions please refer to our website [link] or contact me at contact@nightstormtechnologies.com.

I would like to thank everyone who already submitted for their time and energy (If you haven't heard from me already you should soon). Submissions are still open and I would just like to point out that NightStorm looks at finished projects only. This rule is a little looser for issue zero than it will be for subsequent issues, however we cannot accept a script alone as a submission.

Keep em' coming!

I'm interested but I can't afford to work for free right now. Can we stay in touch?

how does this work exactly? you'll buy a comic once someone submits an entire project to you, which is a laughriot all on its own, @ $80 a page? or an issue? a 22-page, standard comic would run you $1760 and then having it run for more than 3 issues would be around $5000....this sounds like a scam...

PM me your email address and I'll keep you posted. Even if you can't contribute to issue zero there is always issue one.

I believe the answers to most of your questions can be found on our website, but just in case....

How it works:

Step 1. Someone submits a project. I don't want to see all 200 issues of your comic, just the one you are submitting for publication.

Step 2. The comic is either accepted or rejected.

Step 3. Notification and compensation. If your work is selected for publication in a given month the author will be notified and a check will be mailed the address specified in the contact information they have provided.

Please note: Issue zero is a non paying issue (as stated above).
