Cover Artist Needed for 2nd Novel

Hey everyone! I'm going to be in need of a cover artist within the next few months. I'm finishing up a novel, sending it to the editor, and I'll need the cover finished by the time that everything is finished. I'd rather find someone on here than use one of the artists the publisher provides - simply because I'd rather pay someone on my own and get someone's name out there.

The book revolves around the lives of group of vampire hunters belonging to a sort of company that specializes in killing supernatural things... I'm completely unsure of what I want on the cover and there currently is not a title.

When you contact me include the following:
+ your real name
+ samples of your work
+ your price
+ any questions you may have or additional information you may need

I'm accepting traditional media, digital media, photography, and photo manips.

Stylized is fine, but no anime.

Price would be $50 to $100 depending on the level of difficulty involved in the illustrations you need done, and the media you'd like it done in.
You'd have to pay half up front and then the rest after you are pleased with the image.
I can write up a contract to help protect both of us during the transaction. Your publisher may need to see a signed contract from your artist anyway.
I'm a quick worker and I can provide references if you need them.

ah, fantastic. Someone who knows what they're doing.

I've got a sample contract written up. It's extremely basic though. A sort of "insert this here, take this out there" sort of thing, but if you have one as well it'd be great. Saves me the work - haha.

Excellent, I'll start writing up a sample contract tonight, my contracts are usually simple and straightforward but as long as both parties are protected and everything is made clear in the contract.
We'll probable have to go over the details of the contract together though cause I don't know exactly what you need yet for the image. Perhaps we'll combine both contracts we just have to make sure it suits us both.

Who's your editor/publisher? I'm just curious, as I write myself, and have never come across any editor who allows an author to chase up their own cover artist.

And any reputable publishing house will have their own in-house marketing department - it's extremely unsual for any writer to have a say of any kind in this part of the process. :-?

Incidentally, I'm working on a couple of covers for my own soon to be self-published fiction.

hey there, I'm also interested :) My name's Diana Castillo and my style tends to vary but maybe you'll find it suitable for your project. Yes, I do draw anime, but I have a good amount of realism as well --->[link] , [link] , [link] , [link]

Also, pricing would depend of course on the picture (background, details, size, difficulty) and all that but I imagine a minimum prize would be $45 or so. Like I said, it depends on the picture.
