Okay, I might sound like a noob, but what's the difference?

Which is better for design also?

Thanks!

This shows you the features of all the MacBooks. [link]

Now, what do you mean by "design?"

provided you stick 2 gigs of ram in a macbook, it should be sufficient for doin stuff in photoshop or illustrator, that kinda thing. youll start to have problems if you work with very large files tho.

What programs will you be using?

The main difference is a better graphics card and a bigger screen.

Personally, I think you'd be fine with either if you have 2GB of ram. However, it's your choice.

I'd say 4GB of RAM would be better and not too much more if you go with 3rd party RAM. And the MacBook should be sufficient.

I didn't know the MacBook physically supported 4GB of ram

Macbooks only come with 13-inch screens. Macbook Pros come with 17 inch screens, with a choice of 1680x1050 or 1920x1200. I don't think I need to tell you which is better for art. :)
